‘CuppaTime’ Coffee Morning!

Repost by Nyomi on behalf on BulliesOut

‘CuppaTime’ is a fundraising event where we ask people across the UK and Ireland to hold a coffee morning and help raise funds for those affected by bullying.

Why We Need Your Help
There are young people out there right now near breaking point and desperately need the help and support we want to give them. Having been on the journey ourselves, we know how stressful and emotional it is not to be listened to, how isolating it feels to be left out and how draining it is to have to deal with this cruel act every single day.

BulliesOut provides as much help, support and information as we can, but there are thousands of young people out there who need this support and we are working hard to expand our work and reach out to them.

This is where we can really make a difference and by holding a coffee morning for us, you can help us with our fundraising campaign.

There is no set date or time for our campaign. Just choose a date which is convenient for you. For more of an impact, anti bullying week is from 17th – 21st November each year.

If you are able to help – thank you. Register now for the BulliesOut ‘CuppaTime’ Coffee Morning
http://www.bulliesout.com/coffetime-registration or
Email  fundraising@bulliesout.com for a fundraising pack . If this isn’t for you, please can you share with your friends, family and contacts.

Please help us to help those who need us.

Thank you.

FireWalk For BulliesOut Charity

Event: Fire Walking - For BulliesOut Charity
Date: Sunday 7th December 2014
Location: The Wharf Pub, Schooner Way, Cardiff, CF10 4EU
Time: 4pm

A firewalk is the most inspirational journey you will ever undertake. It is as the name suggests: a bare foot walk over red-hot wood embers measuring around 800 degrees. No tricks, no special effects. Just you and the fire.

It’s tempting to look at firewalking and explain it with physics. But that's not enough to dispel the primal fear caused by the feeling of intense heat on your face at the edge of the fire lane. Fear is at the centre of the experience, the fear you feel on the brink of a fire walk is incredible – all of your survival instincts are telling you to stay put. Stay where it’s safe. Don’t take the risk.

Sound familiar?

The decision to walk across the coals is dramatically life changing. Not because you have decided to firewalk in itself, but because you have consciously decided not to let your fear inhibit your actions. Once you take the power away from fear, there is really nothing stopping you. After all if you can walk safely across hot coals what else is possible?

About BulliesOut

An Award winning charity, BulliesOut provides help, support and information to individuals, schools, youth and community settings affected by bullying.
Mission
Our vision is for all young people to recognise their self worth and potential and to flourish in a positive, caring environment free from oppression and abuse.
Company Overview
BulliesOut believe that bullying and bullying behaviours are one of the more contributing factors in cases of non or diminished attendance at school. Bullying creates a negative environment and the stresses placed on anyone involved in or affected by bullying and bullying behaviour have far reaching effects on their emotional health and well being, educational successes and subsequent life chances.

We believe that learning is the foundation for life and can help raise confidence, self esteem and motivate young people to achieve their aspirations and career choice. We recognise that barriers to learning, such as bullying, can prevent people from recognising and achieving their full potential.

Education...

Through our innovative, interactive workshops and training programmes, we use our energy and enthusiasm to focus on awareness, prevention, building empathy and positive peer relationships all of which are crucial in creating a nurturing environment in which young people and staff can thrive....

Awareness...

Bullying is often talked about but can also be misunderstood. Developing a fuller awareness of how bullying can manifest, how it can be prevented and how it should be dealt with, will help both sufferers and perpetrators disengage from the bullying cycle.

Support...

Children and Young People who are bullied or bullying need support and specific, practical tools to move beyond the position they find themselves in. BulliesOut is a time-limited, solution focused anti-bullying service which provides just that.
General Information
BulliesOut is an independent charity, yet as a result of the determination and tireless work of our team, we help and support thousands of children, young people and families through this cruel act each year.

BulliesOut was established in May 2006 by Linda James MBE as a direct result of her personal experience of bullying and how it affected her family.
